“A competition is being announced for filling the vacant position of a cat,” one of the companies in Nizhny Novgorod excited this summer with an amazing announcement on social networks. The company, which is engaged in housing construction, was ready to offer a mustachioed-striped employee a salary of 20,000 rubles for fulfilling the duties of a “discoverer of apartments”. Everything is logical: for many centuries there has been a tradition according to which new settlers, before entering their new housing, let in a cat or cat. It is believed that cats feel energetically favorable zones and are generally able to create the “right” aura in the house. And this statement, frankly, is absolutely true!
So, hiring a representative of this glorious family, the construction company does not risk anything, but, on the contrary, attracts a lot of attention and positive in such an original way. Moreover, the requirements for applicants were quite simple: a mustache, a tail, and beautiful eyes. Well, good cat manners, of course. Is it any wonder that there were plenty of applicants for a “warm place”: more than four hundred cats, cats, and kittens “responded” to the vacancy. After studying the questionnaires, the builders selected the top 9 and invited him for an interview. Well, you understand why exactly 9, yes? 🙂 True, in the end, only five applicants came to a meeting with a potential employer, but one more beautiful.
Nevertheless, the best of the best was a white blue-eyed cat named Kefir. “Natural Blonde” charmed everyone around him so much that he was immediately hired with a salary the size of which would please even people. As it turned out, the cat acquired its wonderful charm due to the fact that it grew up “in a large family”: according to the owner of Kefir Anatoly Chadayev, now there are ten cats and a dog in his house! The newly-minted employee of the construction company himself was thrown to his owners at a young age, who at first wanted to attach him “in good hands”, but then left them to himself. And never regretted it!
By the way, Kefir is not the only cat in Russia acting as the “discoverer of apartments”. He, for example, has a colleague named Barsik, who works in a similar position in Perm. Barsik’s salary is even higher – 400 thousand a year, plus a personal driver and an office. But there are more responsibilities: in addition to directly accompanying new settlers, they include taking a selfie-and even maintaining your microblog. It should be clarified that half of the salary does not go to the owner’s pocket and not to the feed and filler for the cat himself, but to help homeless animals.
